Golden State Warriors NBA Draft: 3 Prospects to get excited for

Golden State Warriors NBA Draft targets: Jonathan Kuminga
Jonathan Kuminga has many of the attributes as the players we’ve already mentioned – but he has fewer downsides than any of them. Kuminga is the total package of versatility with scoring, defending and playmaking in his bag.
Playing alongside Jalen Green in the G-League, Kuminga is averaging 18.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. He’s making an impact on both ends of the floor and flashing immense upside as a two-way threat in the NBA.
Kuminga is a massive 6’8″ forward with a wingspan over 7-feet. Combine this with fluid athleticism and a tight handle to give Kuminga all of the skills needed to thrive as a point forward. He’s shown some serious vision as a playmaker and has given us every reason to believe he’ll continue growing as a passer.
He’s nearly impossible to keep out of the paint. Kuminga is relentless in forcing the action into the lane, using his long strides to squeeze around defenders and finish strong through contact. He also appears to be a skilled shooter though his inconsistency has hurt his efficiency thus far.
Kuminga looks like a perfect addition to the Golden State Warriors’ frontcourt. Playing him alongside James Wiseman could create a dynamic duo with elite talent inside and outside of the paint.
