The Golden State Warriors have an interest in forward Blake Griffin, and there are numerous reasons why they should sign the former All-Star.

Despite the Brooklyn Nets having the edge over other teams, the Golden State Warriors are among the teams making a run for Blake Griffin. Griffin and the Detroit Pistons recently agreed on a buyout.

Griffin’s best known for his stint in Los Angeles.

With the Clippers and Chris Paul, Griffin made several postseason runs and helped his Clips earn the nickname “Lob City.” However, he didn’t actually have much success with those rosters, usually exiting the postseason early.

More recently, he’s become a much better shooter. He used to be a non-threat from downtown. His shooting has been the biggest development of his career. His scoring has diminished though, and he’s averaging the lowest amount of his career this season.

Griffin is still a solid addition for any playoff-caliber team. The former first-round pick does have six All-Star appearances to his name. Given the size of his contract, Griffin being bought out is huge news.

That said, let’s dive into three reasons why the Warriors should sign the veteran big man.
