George Hill

Another player that the Warriors could add is George Hill. Given his contract, the Warriors would have to do some more moving. The Thunder could add in Al Horford and then combine both those two for a player like Wiggins who is on a much bigger contract.

That said, Wanamaker just isn’t getting the job done behind Curry. The Dubs were prioritizing a backup point guard this past offseason, and they added Wanamaker who spent two seasons with the Boston Celtics.

Wanamaker is averaging 4.8 points per game. He’s at 10.7 per 36 minutes as the third-year guard doesn’t get much playing time. For Hill, he’s at 11.8 points per game and then is at 16.1 per 36 minutes, the third-most of his career.

Hill is averaging 1.6 triples per game and is coming off a season in which he shot a league-high 46 percent from downtown. He’s sitting at 38.6 percent from deep this season. Hill is a solid veteran that the team should’ve targeted in the offseason.

It makes sense if they can make it work with his contract, and given that the Thunder are looking to rebuild anyway, it would be understandable that they’d want to trade him as well.
