The Golden State Warriors were relatively quiet at the 2020-21 NBA Trade Deadline. As was most of the league in general. However, enough deals happened for there to be some winners and some losers.
Victor Oladipo was the most notable player dealt. He was shipped to Miami in a lucrative deal for the Heat that will help them push for another NBA Finals run. Other names moved include Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, Norman Powell and George Hill.
It’s time to reflect on what the Golden State Warriors and the rest of the NBA accomplished at the 2020-21 trade deadline.
As for the Warriors, they sent Brad Wanamaker to Charlotte and Marquese Chriss to San Antonio for… nothing. The Dubs didn’t receive any picks or players in return but they did clear roster spots and cap space to hit the buyout market.
Spoiler alert, the Dubs wind up somewhere in between being winners and losers this season. But, before we get to that, let’s jump ahead and celebrate the teams who managed to emerge on the other end of today feeling better than they were before the deadline.
