LeBron James may have his sights on bringing Stephen Curry to Los Angeles, and it feels like that’d be a move the two-time MVP would never go for.

The Golden State Warriors may be a fringe playoff team this season, and their lack of high-level success has nothing to do with Stephen Curry. Curry has been playing some of the best basketball of his career despite turning 33.

He was nearing career highs across the board earlier this season before those numbers relapsed a bit. More recently, Curry’s importance was shown as the Dubs lost four of five winnable games with Curry sidelined by a tailbone injury.

Entering the free-agent market not this offseason but next, could Curry head elsewhere? It’s possible, and if it’s up to LeBron James, he’ll be joining the King in Los Angeles. Apparently, James is already trying to make that a reality.

"“I thought it was hilarious over All-Star Weekend, LeBron praising Steph up and down … how much he loves his game, how much he respects him. LeBron has obviously put the full-court press on, not the full-court press, but LeBron has obviously begun the recruiting of Steph, just in the event that he wouldn’t extend and that somehow he would become a free agent and that the Lakers would have a swing at him,” ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said on his Hoop Collective podcast via Tyler Conway."

Curry has only been with the Warriors throughout his NBA career, and it seems almost impossible that he’d head to Los Angeles. That said, let’s dive into three reasons why you don’t have to worry about Curry heading to the Dubs Pacific-division rival.
