Golden State Warriors play at home against the Dallas Mavericks on April 27

While the Golden State Warriors may not want to admit it, they may be involved in a play-in game. They’re currently outside of the top-eight teams in the Western Conference. A team they could easily see in one of those games is the Dallas Mavericks.

Led by Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, the Mavs have had a tough season so far, and they haven’t necessarily been healthy for the bulk of it either. Even at full strength, this team isn’t as good as they were a season ago.

They recently have losses to the Pelicans and Pacers, having gone 2-2 in their last four games.

While having Doncic helps and also being the playoff it is anyone’s game, the Warriors need to prove this is a team they can compete with. A game that should position them well in the playoffs, this matchup could slide them either up or down in the rankings.

The Warriors will have three games in total against Dallas this season, and they’re currently 1-1 against the Mavs. That one win was thanks to Kelly Oubre Jr. who had a career-high 40 points. Given the playoff impact this game may have, it’s a must-win for the Dubs.
