Golden State Warriors play away against the New Orleans Pelicans on May 3

This is the start of the home stretch.

They play the Pelicans here and then immediately take them on again the very next day. They’ll wind out the season with six consecutive home games, and getting momentum for those could be huge.

There’s no huge reason why this one is more important than the very next one on May 4, but this is one of just a handful of ESPN-televised games for Golden State, and it’s ignorant to think the team doesn’t know it’s going to be a nationally-televised game.

The back-to-back against New Orleans is right before a six-game homestand to finish the season off. Getting that confidence going into the last few weeks of the season should be crucial for Golden State.
