Golden State Warriors potential addition: Otto Porter Jr.

The Golden State Warriors do not have many three-and-D options, so Otto Porter Jr. would give them something they lack. With his size and length, he’d also be an ideal addition to the Dubs frontcourt.

Porter stands 6-foot-8. He’s actually already been traded once, and that may help his buyout case. Porter Jr. went from the Bulls to the Magic in a deal that was headlined by Nikola Vucevic‘s arrival in the Windy City.

Back when he was with Washington, Porter Jr. was looked at as a top up-and-coming prospect. He was nearing 15 points per game and given a deal that matched his production.

That’s since dropped off. This season, he’s averaging 9.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Add in 1.4 threes per game on 37.5 percent from deep, and it’s easy to see why he may be a good addition.

He can spread the court, and his size can bring length and consistency to the Dubs frontcourt. It’d be a win-win for both the Warriors and Porter Jr.
