Golden State Warriors player yet to hit their ceiling: Kelly Oubre Jr.

The Golden State Warriors need Kelly Oubre Jr. of last year to come out for these last few weeks. While his role has changed with Golden State as compared to his place on the Phoenix Suns, Oubre Jr. has every opportunity to average 20-plus points per game.

He was on a trajectory to do just that coming off averaging 18.7 per game last season. After being discarded by Washington, Oubre Jr. found his footing with the Suns, and he’ll be looking at a big-time deal this summer.

How he finishes this season may have quite a bit to do with how much a team is willing to pay him this offseason. Oubre Jr. is currently at 15.0 points per game and shoots 43.6 percent from the field and 30.5 percent from deep.

Although he’s been in the league six seasons, Oubre Jr. is just 25. Bringing the athleticism and energy on both ends of the floor on a nightly basis, he’s proven his value.

However, with four games of at least 25 points and 12 games under 10, Oubre Jr. needs to find a more consistent flow in the offense. The shots are there for the taking, but he needs to start knocking them down more frequently.
