Warriors potential draft prospect: Jalen Johnson

The first on our list is Jalen Johnson.

It’s tough to put Johnson on this list considering the issues he had both in high school and at Duke, but for those concerns, his name may be one other franchise stay away from, opening a door for him to potentially drop back 14.

The 6-foot-8 small forward was the No. 3 prospect at his position coming out of high school.

However, college didn’t necessarily do him any better than a potential G-League contract would have. Johnson played in 13 games and started 8 for the Blue Devils, a program that shockingly failed to make the NCAA Tournament.

With Duke, Johnson averaged 11.2 points per game on 52 percent shooting. Despite only hitting .6 per game, Johnson hit 44.4 percent of his triples.

Johnson was recently mocked at No. 10, but it certainly wouldn’t be shocking to see him go a bit lower. The skillset is there, but if he’s not the right fit, there’s no denying he could more of a liability.
