Golden State Warriors’ targets: Terrance Ferguson

The hype around Terrance ‘2K’ Ferguson was pretty high for a late first round pick. This is because of the cult following he had built up heading into the NBA due to his high-flying dunks that went viral all over social media.

Ferguson hasn’t found much success in the NBA. Though he’s thrown down some electric dunks throughout his young career – his lack of shooting and well… everything else has held him back from being a productive player.

Athleticism is fun, but Ferguson is lacking the all-around talents needed to be a consistent rotational player. Perhaps the Golden State Warriors training staff can help him develop?

Ferguson averaged just 3.9 points on 35.5 percent shooting last season in Oklahoma City. Yet, he was a strong defensive presence and flashed some real potential to be a lockdown threat on the perimeter.

At 22 years of age, it might be too early to give up on Ferguson. He is a reliable jump shot away from being a useful tool on both ends of the floor. While developing that shot might be easier said than done, the Warriors don’t have much to lose by giving it a go.
