Yes, it’s possible. There is a real chance the Golden State Warriors instantly retool their dynasty by winning the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery and selecting Cade Cunningham first overall.

Okay, it’s only a one percent possibility – but a possibility nonetheless. Using Tankathon.com’s lottery simulator with the NBA’s current standings, it only took me about five minutes of refreshing for the Warriors to jump 12 spots and win the lottery.

Today, we are going to look at the pure chaos that would ensue if the Golden State Warriors won the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery.

During this process, I actually landed on a more intriguing outcome of the Warriors getting both the fourth and fifth picks in the draft. Their own first round pick lunged to fourth in the order while Minnesota’s pick fell all the way to fifth, transferring to the Dubs.

However, that outcome felt like overkill. Instead, I ran the simulator until I found a draft order that had the Warriors winning the Cunningham sweepstakes. So, we’ll walk through the first 14 picks in the draft and discuss the ripple effect this would have on the league. It’s time to envision Cade in a Warriors uniform.
