Golden State Warriors to likely not return: Mychal Mulder

This one is tough to write on because I truly did think Mychal Mulder could be a long-term role player for this team, but even with Kelly Oubre Jr. out, he’s just not getting many minutes.

Mulder’s played 44 games this season and is averaging just 10.1 minutes per game. His scoring has been almost cut by two-thirds although that’s been partially due to Curry being back in action and less opportunity on the offensive end.

That said, even in his recent 19-minute performance against the Thunder, Mulder posted just five points. At 6-foot-3, he’s also relatively undersized and can be a liability defensively.

Combine that with him already being 26, and it’s easy to see why they may move on from him. The Dubs are also extremely deep at shooting guard with Jordan Poole and Damion Lee both getting minutes at the two.

The return of Klay Thompson could devastate Mulder’s playing time even further. I wouldn’t expect him back, but hopefully, he can manage to stay in the league as his 37.4 percent shooting from deep should be something other teams crave in a role player.
