Pros

The Golden State Warriors would reap plenty of benefits if they selected Jalen Green top-five. Lets break down what makes him such an exciting prospect.

Offensive Threat

Strong finisher? Check. Shifty handle? Check. Elite pull-up shooter? Check.

Jalen Green can score from every spot on the floor and has no problem creating a look for himself. His deceptive ball-handling and pure jump shot make for a deadly combination when paired with his ability to finish around (and through) contact.

He’s also flashed potential as a playmaker. Green is capable of throwing dimes but like many young, offensive superstars, Green is a bit hesitant to pass. This is something that should be easy to fix, however.

Great Athleticism

Green will instantly become one of the NBA’s greatest athletes from the moment he touches the floor. An uncanny ability to spring into the air with ease, Green has Dunk Contest Champion written all over his future.

But he’s much more than just a gifted athlete. He uses this explosiveness to punish opponents and shows no fear when it comes to rising up with a defender.

Upside as a Defender

Green will have to bulk up in order to defend taller players but his speed and athleticism bode well for his trajectory as a defender. Though he’s inconsistent in his effort (we’ll talk about this soon), there’s no denying a player of his build and mechanics can become a lockdown perimeter threat with proper development.
