Warriors’ player on the hot seat: Draymond Green

Draymond Green needs to be the three-time All-Star that he’s shown he can be, on both sides of the floor. While recently he’s played a more important role in the offense, even in his impressive recent ten-game stretch, Green is averaging just 8.0 points per game.

Green’s tacking on 8.6 assists and 6.6 rebounds per game. Those are all great, but the fact still remains that Green is among the most skilled players on the Warriors roster, and he needs to be more of a force as a scorer.

One of the most mysterious things in the past few seasons for this Warriors franchise has been the absolute disappearance of Green’s three-point shot.

Despite his scoring marginally increasing, he’s averaging under 21 percent from deep during the past ten-game stretch. On the season, he’s at just 25.5 percent. There are factors surrounding Green’s offensive game that must be worked out.

While he may not be traded if he doesn’t figure them out, the Warriors will not go nearly as far as they could’ve if he can’t start to be more impactful as a scorer.
