Warriors’ player on the hot seat: Jordan Poole

The Golden State Warriors need another scorer to step up.

As we saw against the Wizards, Curry having an off night could be destructive for the Dubs’ chances at winning. Despite Curry not hitting 20, Golden State still had a chance, and it was partially because of second-year stud Jordan Poole.

Earlier this season, after coming back up from a stint in the G-League, Poole neared 20 points per game for a ten-game stretch.

He’s shown that he has the talent to play at an elite level, and fans were given another glimpse of that as he put up 22 points and 6 threes against Washington. Now, the next step for Poole is to do it consistently.

Poole has played in 16 games (albeit not a ton of time in a few) in which he’s failed to hit double figures.

As a primary scoring option for the second unit, Poole needs to be just a bit more consistent. If he can turn into an elite threat, this team will be much better of, and if not, he could be a premier trade candidate this offseason.
