3 NBA Draft prospects we hope slip to Golden State Warriors

Golden State Warriors will wish for Jalen Suggs to slip in NBA Draft
Before the NCAA Tournament, Jalen Suggs could have easily fallen to fourth or even fifth in the NBA Draft. Now, however, it’s a bit more of a reach.
Suggs dominated on the biggest stage there is for a college prospect. An 18 point, 10 rebounds and 8 assist performance versus USC was followed by a prolific 16 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block and 1 half-court game-winner in the Final Four.
At 6’4″, Suggs is comparable to many of the game’s best guards. He’s drawn comparisons to Devin Booker for his all-around talent as a scorer and silky smooth pull-up jumper. However, Suggs has a higher ceiling as a defender, displaying some amazing reactionary skills in March Madness.
There’s no doubt it would be a challenge for the Golden State Warriors to fit Suggs into their closing lineups. He doesn’t have a long wingspan or good enough size to play anything other than the one or two positions. This means Klay Thompson would have to be pushed to the wing in order to compensate for Suggs being on the floor during crunch time.
Nonetheless, this is a problem the Dubs would accept with a smile. It’s commonplace in the NBA for teams to go small during key moments and it shouldn’t be too difficult for the Warriors to succeed with a three-guard lineup if Suggs truly lives up to the high expectations he has set for himself.
