Warriors finesse up to the seventh seed

The Warriors have shown that they can turn the heat on. They’ve done so this season against fully loaded teams like the Lakers and Clippers.

Hopefully, they can continue to do that throughout the remainder of the season. If they can win their next seven games, which seems possible, the Warriors could jump ahead a few seeds in the rankings.

After the Mavericks defeated the Lakers, the Blazers dropped to the No. 7 seed. While the Warriors ideally would get above the No. 7 seed, getting to that point seems like a true possibility with the way this team is playing.

The Warriors are about three games behind Portland right now.

They have multiple games against the Thunder and Pelicans left on their schedule along with a game against Houston and others. It seems like a stretch, but they could easily get as high as No. 6 with a bit of help.

That’s what they need to be aiming for.
