Warriors player the team would love to see get hot: Andrew Wiggins

Andrew Wiggins is averaging 18.0 points per game this season, and for most, that may be terrific. For Wiggins, he should know that he needs to do more as he’s this team’s second-best offensive option.

The seventh-year former No. 1 overall pick has three seasons in which he’s topped 20 points per game. While his efficiency is at career-high levels, Wiggins needs to do more to alleviate pressure from Curry.

Wiggins has ten straight games in double figures, so he’s been pretty consistent. However, when he notches at least 25, the Warriors are 4-2. They’re a better team when he’s knocking down shots.

While getting role players hot should be a priority as they are who can keep players dangerous, getting Wiggins going may single-handedly win them games.

That’s why the Dubs brought in players like Wiggins and Oubre Jr. Their ability to drive and get their shots is a plus, but they need to be able to knock them down to get that Curry-like green light, even though no one may ever have that level of freedom.

Nonetheless, to have a chance in the postseason, the Warriors need Oubre Jr., Wiggins, or Mulder to get and stay hot.
