Golden State Warriors opponents: Portland Trail Blazers

Remember the Play-In game we mentioned before — between the Memphis Grizzlies and Portland Trail Blazers? Yeah, it was the remarkable shot-making ability of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum that decided the outcome of that game. And, if it comes down to it again, I wouldn’t bet against Lillard and McCollum pushing their opponents to the brink.

Lillard and McCollum combined for 60 points in their game against the Grizzlies. This was directly after a three-game stretch in which Dame averaged 51.3 points on nearly 50 percent shooting from the 3-point line to thrust the Blazers into the Play-In, to begin with.

So yeah, it’s obvious Dame and CJ are going to do everything they can to single-handedly win this game. But, what about the rest of the team?

This is arguably the best supporting cast the Blazers have ever had but even that isn’t looking like enough to make them contenders. They’ve dropped five consecutive games and hold a 3-10 record over the last few weeks.

Because of their recent flops, I’d have to put my money on the Golden State Warriors winning this potential matchup. Of course, it would be a battle between Stephen Curry and Lillard — but as we know, Curry has historically dominated this individual rivalry.
