Golden State Warrior that hasn’t met expectations:  Jordan Poole

For a while, Jordan Poole was playing terrific basketball. The Warriors, as they did with him as a rookie, assigned him to their G-League affiliate, Santa Cruz Warriors. He came back more decisive and aggressive yet again.

Poole’s since cooled off yet has maintained his spot in the rotation.

After the trade that sent backup point guard Brad Wanamaker to Charlotte, it was clear the Dubs would need someone to step up. Poole has been that guy, but he needs to be consistent with his performances.

The 21-year-old Poole had a ten-game stretch in which he neared 20 points per game. However, over his last three, he’s averaged 6.3 points per game in nearly 20 minutes. Shooting 24 percent from the field, Poole must get back to his old form.

If Looney, Oubre Jr., and Poole can step up, this is a completely different team, and until then, despite a near 40-point performance from Curry, this team will continue to lose to non-contenders like Minnesota.
