Warriors player competing for his next contract: Juan Toscano-Anderson

JTA has been sensational. He hasn’t always shot the best, and he hasn’t always impacted the game the way head coach Steve Kerr would hope for.

But, at the end of the day, his energy and effort are unmatched. JTA recently missed a few games in concussion protocol after diving into the scorer’s table for a loose ball, only to have it saved back to Steph for a wide-open triple.

Toscano-Anderson played in 13 games with the Dubs last season, scoring 5.3 points per game.

As with players like Damion Lee and Jordan Poole, the opportunity offensively has waned with the return of Stephen Curry. JTA has averaged 5.2 points per game, getting more minutes with the big-man shortage.

Shooting over 41 percent from deep may also be what saves his career in the league. Nonetheless, JTA will be back in the league, and it’d be shocking to not see him in a Warriors uniform next season.
