We are only a few weeks away from seeing the Golden State Warriors compete in the Play-In Tournament. Yet, even if they win a trip to the NBA Playoffs, the team will be battling uphill with a short-staffed roster.

The NBA Playoffs are going to be difficult for the Golden State Warriors who are playing with less depth than ever.

The Warriors played eight guys on Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans. Klay Thompson, Kelly Oubre, James Wiseman, Damion Lee and Eric Paschall are all nursing injuries while the team stumbles to the finish line.

The job isn’t done yet — the Warriors still need to do just a bit more to secure their spot in the Play-In. But, with a three-game lead over the Pelicans and one final game against them to increase the gap, the Dubs are almost surely going to make it.

Even so, the team is going to be dealing with a thin rotation. There isn’t much of a supporting cast here to help Stephen Curry who is having one of his best seasons to date. This is already creating problems and will become a bigger issue once the playoffs officially begin.

Let us take a look at three reasons the Warriors are severely understaffed and determine who is to blame for this outcome.
