How much money is JTA going to demand?

JTA has most certainly earned himself a pay day this offseason. He has far outplayed his current two-way salary and come this summer he will be a free agent, able to test the waters in the open market.

The question I am sure the Warriors and JTA are all wondering is, what is he going to cost?

The Warriors roster as it stands now is the most expensive in the league and they do not have much room to wiggle as far as signing players in the offseason.

Both sides have expressed interest in reaching an agreement, but could JTA’s recent play price him out of a contract with the Warriors? If the Warriors make a little noise in the playoffs on national television, it most certainly will raise his value even more.

A good barometer to look at for value might be JTA’s teammate, Kevon Looney.

After the 2018 season, Looney, a serviceable yet underwhelming backup big, inked a 3 year $15 million deal with the Warriors.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see JTA earn something similar, but the Warriors’ cap flexibility and their potential desire to make a big trade in the offseason all will factor into the decision.
