Golden State Warriors player with the most to prove: Jordan Poole

After trading Brad Wanamaker to Charlotte, the Golden State Warriors were back to square one with their veteran backup point guard. However, they didn’t add one and are putting their faith in second-year guard Jordan Poole.

While Stephen Curry will undoubtedly be playing big-time minutes, Poole will get some run.

He’ll be charged with captaining the second unit and getting the team in their offensive sets. Poole has played very well recently, especially immediately after coming back from his stint in the G-League.

Over the team’s last 15 games, Poole has averaged 12.1 points per game in just over 21 minutes a night. He’s played well, and in order to get consistent minutes in the play-in tournament, he’ll have to continue that trend.

Poole has been inefficient which has always been his biggest downside, shooting under 38 percent from the field. While he should have the spot locked up, he needs to prove he can score efficiently to maximize his use for the organization.
