Golden State Warriors: 3 Keys to winning Play-In Tournament

Golden State Warriors’ key: Kelly Oubre Jr. is healthy
I don’t think it is possible for Kelly Oubre Jr. to be fully recovered from the torn ligament in his hand. But, he reportedly doesn’t need surgery and it looks as if he’s going to play through the pain anyways.
This is good news for the Golden State Warriors in a couple of ways. Firstly, it shows Oubre has a clear devotion to helping the team, an indication he might return this summer. Aside from that, it helps the Warriors compete in the Play-In where Oubre’s skill set will be needed.
Regardless of who the Dubs draw in the tourney, they’ll be looking for Oubre to play gritty defense and space the floor. He’s averaging 15.4 points and 6.0 rebounds this season, acting as one of the NBA’s most versatile forwards.
He is streaky, we know that — but that streakiness could pay off in a big way if Oubre heats up at the right time. A good shooting game from Oubre could be all it takes to tip the scales in favor of Golden State.
Either way, the Dubs can bank on Oubre giving his all in the Play-In. Whether he is shooting the lights out or not, there will be no question of his effort. It is important Oubre is healthy and ready to go for the Warriors.
