It’s almost time. In just over a day the Golden State Warriors will head into one of the most famous arenas in the world, the Staples Center. They’ll be taking on the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers in the play-in tournament.

Thankfully, the loser won’t be eliminated as knocking off the reigning champs will be no easy task. If the Warriors win, they’ll take on the Phoenix Suns. If they lose, they’ll play the winner of the Spurs and Grizzlies for a shot at the top-seeded Utah Jazz.

The Golden State Warriors already have an eight-man rotation, but minutes within that rotation could certainly be altered as the stakes heighten.

The Warriors are in a good position to exceed expectations. After Klay Thompson‘s injury before the season even began, the Warriors’ title hopes disappeared. Many thought that Curry couldn’t even manage to get them to the playoffs.

Now, after winning the scoring title, Curry is playing some of the best basketball of his career. The Warriors will have a chance to claim the No. 7 seed on Wednesday on top of that. Golden State, as a whole, has played well recently.

As is with most teams, the postseason will force coaches to cut rotations. That said, the Warriors are no different. Let’s dive into three players that may see their minutes cut as starters are undoubtedly looking at more time in the near future.
