Warriors player cut from rotation: Eric Paschall

Eric Paschall may find himself back on the court in the near future.

Paschall scored 12 points and played almost 19 minutes against the New Orleans Pelicans in the team’s second-to-last regular-season game. The second-year forward played in three of the team’s last 32 games.

His inability to get healthy may cost him a spot in the playoff rotation as the Warriors should prefer to go with Juan Toscano-Anderson. To be honest, there will be limited minutes to go around in the frontcourt.

Kevon Looney and Jordan Bell will take up most of the time at the five. Especially against the Lakers, it’s doubtful the Warriors play much small ball. Draymond Green, in the playoffs in 2019, played upwards of 38 minutes per game.

That would leave just a handful of minutes for a player like Paschall. Having not had his rhythm or health over the past few months, I wouldn’t expect big-time minutes from the second unit threat.
