Warriors player cut from rotation: Juan Toscano-Anderson (not completely)

Ok, before we get irrationally mad, there’s no reason to believe Juan Toascno-Anderon, whose story and passionate play has turned him into a fan favorite, will be completely axed from the rotation.

But, there’s no denying his minutes will take a hit. JTA was primarily used as a small-ball center during a period of time in which both Kevon Looney and James Wiseman missed time. He’s become so much more than that for the Warriors though.

Over the last 13 games, JTA has averaged over 29 minutes per game.

He’s been great, nearing 57 percent from the field. On the season, he’s shooting over 40 percent from deep. The efficiency is there, but unless the Warriors play a good amount of small ball or toss JTA at the three more than expected, his minutes should take a drastic hit.

The energy and effort should get him on the court. His efficiency and ability to play his role at a high level may get him more minutes, but nonetheless, he should see a dip from that lofty average over the past few weeks.
