Thankfully, the Golden State Warriors have struck fire over the last month. Led by Stephen Curry‘s insane, record-setting April, the Warriors have bounced into playoff contention.

With the top-ten seeds now able to get in with the 7-10 teams bound by a play-in tournament, the Warriors will have a little extra work before they actually find out their first-round opponents. For starters, they’ll need to take down the reigning champions, the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Golden State Warriors will take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the play-in tournament with a spot in the playoffs on the line. Here’s how they can win.

That will be no easy feat as the Lakers are getting healthy and could be hitting their stride at just the right time. However, if the Warriors can manage to get through Los Angeles, they’ll have a dream scenario awaiting them with Phoenix then either Portland or Denver.

The Lakers got to be a play-in team due to their immense injuries struggles. However, the Warriors can relate as they only dipped under .500 because of Curry’s tailbone injury. Both teams are better than the typical No. 7 and No. 8 seeds.

With Golden State a clear underdog, they have the best player on the court. Even superstar LeBron James thinks Curry should be MVP. That said, let’s dive into how the Curry-led side can exploit the Lakers.
