Betting odds: Golden State Warriors emerge as favorite to win Play-In

On the final night of the NBA Play-In Tournament, the Golden State Warriors have emerged as the favorites to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies and punch their tickets to the playoffs. According to WynnBET, the Dubs have a 60 percent chance of winning tonight’s game.

The Golden State Warriors hold an obvious advantage as they head into their final Play-In Game versus the Memphis Grizzlies.

While this single-game showdown could go either way, the Dubs hold clear advantages heading into this matchup. For starters, it helps to have Stephen Curry on your team, who is fresh off a 37 point performance that nearly knocked off LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Furthermore, the Dubs have been streaking as of late. They had won six straight before their loss in LA and post a 15-5 record since April 10. In contrast, the Grizzlies went just 12-10 during this same stretch, including a double-digit loss to the Warriors on the last night of the season — a battle that decided who would finish eighth in the standings.

Now, the Warriors and Grizzlies play for the eighth seed once again. This time, the winner lines themselves up for a first round playoff matchup against the Utah Jazz while the loser heads home for the summer.

While their recent performances seem to indicate the Dubs as obvious favorites to win, Odds Checker has this game remaining relatively close. It is expected the winner of this game will win by a small margin.

Nonetheless, your money is best placed on the Warriors. In addition to being the team with more momentum, the Warriors simply have more star power. The value of having Curry can’t be understated while players like Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole have been doing great at stepping up into their roles at the perfect time.

The Warriors do face a challenge in the paint. Will their undersized frontcourt be able to contend with Jonas Valanciunas, the big who just posted 23 points and 23 rebounds against the San Antonio Spurs — or Gorgui Dieng, who has proven to be productive in spurts for the Grizzlies?

Above all else, the Dubs need to be prepared to fight. This game is going to be a defensive battle between two of the most sound teams in the NBA. The winner will likely come down to who outworks the other.
