Let’s be honest — this Golden State Warriors team wasn’t going to take down the LA Clippers or full-strength Utah Jazz in a seven-game series. However, no one wanted to see them go out like this.

The Warriors did get their moment though. They gave the Los Angeles Lakers everything they could handle in a game that was far more draining than the Memphis Grizzlies’ easy victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

The Golden State Warriors were one of four teams not to make the playoffs after the play-in tournament finalized, and these three didn’t help them much.

While that’s certainly no excuse, it should be at least noted. Overall, it was the Warriors who killed themselves with sloppy turnovers. Draymond Green‘s numerous offensive foul calls also weren’t ideal, especially considering many were late in the game.

Over the two-game stretch, the Dubs played well, and to think that blowing it up is an option is ludicrous. This team, adding in five-time All-Star Klay Thompson, has a chance to make it to the NBA Finals.

After losing in overtime to the Grizzlies and then in a nail-biter to the Lakers, let’s dive into three players that were disappointing in the play-in tournament.
