Golden State Warriors catalyst that will improve roster: 2021 NBA Draft

The Golden State Warriors will have at least one lottery pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.

It’s expected that they have two though as the Minnesota Timberwolves last-season push propelled them outside of the worst five teams in the NBA. If their pick is outside of the top three after lottery night comes and goes, it will convey to Golden State.

The Wolves traded their first-round protected pick to Golden State as part of the Andrew Wiggins deal. It was looking bleak earlier in the season, but Minnesota got healthy and ramped up their play.

As for who they actually pick, Jalen Green seems like a great option, but that may be a bit outside of the Warriors range. If the option is there, coupling their picks to move up is something they should consider.

Per nbadraft.net, Keon Johnson or Jonathan Kuminga could be an option at No. 6. Jalen Johnson could be an option later in the lottery. Nonetheless, adding any talent to give depth behind Andrew Wiggins could improve the roster.
