Golden State Warriors catalyst that will improve roster: Increased experience

There’s hope that the Warriors can improve enough internally to become a playoff-caliber team next season. The Dubs will return a few rookies and second-year players that should see a much bigger role.

The two that first come to mind are James Wiseman and Jordan Poole.

We’ve written on how Poole has stepped up recently, and it’s true. He was a force off the bench in the play-in tournament. He was shifty and got to the bucket, instead of settling for three-point jumpers.

As for Wiseman, he had a reasonably successful rookie season. He averaged 11.5 points per game on 52 percent from the field. Wiseman could use improving his shooting while also becoming a better rim protector.

The ceiling is high for Wiseman, and although there will be rumors of him being traded, he should be back next season and could be a reason for the team’s success. That said, Eric Paschall is another name that should step up next season and help improve the Warriors’ second unit.

Seeing Klay Thompson return, improving their in-house young talent and adding big-name prospects are all ways the Dubs can become better this offseason.
