It might get worse before things get better for the Golden State Warriors. A few problems are looming on the horizon as we enter the offseason. How the front office responds to these challenges will determine the speed of this rebuild.

Luckily, the Dubs aren’t starting on square one like most regenerating teams. They are already in fairly good shape with two potential NBA Draft Lottery picks, three All-Star caliber players and last year’s No. 2 overall pick on the roster.

Yet, some of their best assets pose their biggest concerns. Will Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green be elite long enough for the likes of Jordan Poole, James Wiseman and any other prospect to hit their strides? Or will the championship window slam shut before the young core is ready? What about Kelly Oubre Jr. — is he going to return this summer? Will Andrew Wiggins’ massive contract be the ultimate roadblock in adding talent to this roster? These are all issues the Dubs will have to address sooner rather than later.

The Golden State Warriors will have to navigate through murky water in order to emerge as title contenders by next season.

I don’t think any one of these problems is enough to completely sabotage the Warriors but they all pose a serious threat to derailing another shot at a title. At the worst, all three of these issues happening at the same time would cause a total collapse of the Warriors.

In contrast, if the Warriors can resolve these issues over the next year, they’ll be in a great position to win another title. It’s time to break down the Dubs can overcome three potential disasters.
