In all reality, the Golden State Warriors actually only have eight players locked in for next season, but given Kevon Looney‘s play, it’s more than likely that he’ll opt into his player option, giving the Warriors nine guaranteed deals.

The Warriors have many other deals on the books, but those outside of the nine are not guaranteed. The Dubs can clear them off the team with no issue, but it’s doubtful all the non-guaranteed deals are shed.

The Golden State Warriors have about half their roster coming back next season with Kelly Oubre Jr. being the only big-time player potentially headed elsewhere.

As most are well aware of, the Warriors will be returning all three of their Big 3, unless something insane happens this offseason. Draymond Green and Klay Thompson both re-upped their deals after the 2019 playoffs. Thompson hasn’t played a game since the 2019 NBA Finals.

Knowing his ACL injury was going to keep him out, the Dubs decided to give him a max extension anyway. On top of Green and Thompson, the highest-paid player both this season and next, Stephen Curry, will also be back for another run at a title.

After those three, we’ll be seeing Andrew Wiggins, barring a trade. Wiggins performed well with Golden State, posting career-highs from the field and from deep. His scoring was oftentimes pivotal for the Warriors as well.

On top of those four, the Warriors will be returning Jordan Poole and Juan Toscano-Anderson.

Even if their contracts weren’t locked in, they would’ve likely been back for Dub Nation as they’ve both become fan favorites. Eric Paschall, who wasn’t impactful the last month or so, will also be returning.

There are eight.

The last absolutely guaranteed deal that the Warriors would either have to eat or trade is James Wiseman. The Warriors have no intent on trading Wiseman, although fans were given the same message about D’Angelo Russell.

Combine all those with Kevon Looney’s likely opt-in, and you have the skeleton of what the Warriors roster will look like next season. With potentially two lottery picks and a few signings, there’s hope that they’ll continue to build a contending team this offseason.

That said, on non-guaranteed deals, Golden State has Damion Lee, Mychal Mulder, and Alen Smailagić. Kent Bazemore and Oubre Jr. will be the two unrestricted free agents that hit the open market. Both should have some league-wide interest.
