Is James Wiseman on his way out of the Bay Area? Will the Golden State Warriors trade the former lottery pick before he really has a chance to shine? Some tough decisions will have to be made soon.

James Wiseman’s time in the Bay could be over before we know it. Here are the pros and cons of trading last year’s second overall pick.

With the offseason in full swing for Golden State, it should come as no surprise that rumors are running rampant. The latest reports state that while Wiseman isn’t necessarily on the chopping block — the Warriors are listening to calls.

Wiseman, the second overall pick in last year’s NBA Draft, played just 39 underwhelming games before a season-ending injury halted his rookie stint. Questions remain as to whether or not Wiseman was the right selection at No. 2.

Moreover, the Warriors have to decide if they want to keep working with Wiseman or flip him for new assets. Pressure is mounting for the front office to capitalize on the final years of Stephen Curry’s prime. The quickest way to retool this roster is trading Wiseman.
