After missing the playoffs, the Golden State Warriors are needing to prepare for the lengthy offseason that will be full of difficult decisions. They’ll be looking to improve their roster, but they won’t have much cap space to work with.

Not having that space available could cost them a realistic chance at retaining some big-time names. On top of that factor, the Warriors may have two lottery picks which will undoubtedly take up a few spots on the roster.

The Golden State Warriors have a handful of players under contracts for next season, but there will be many that also don’t run it back with Dub Nation.

Golden State failed to get into the playoffs this past season. It was a difficult two-game switch which they’ll undoubtedly feel they should’ve closed one of the two games out. Regardless of their play-in tournament luck, the Warriors were never considered true title threats.

Next season, they’ll have a chance to reclaim their throne. While they’ll be able to retain a few players that helped impact the team this past season, several won’t be back, and a few players not expected to return certainly shouldn’t come as a shock.

That said, let’s dive into the five most likely not returning to Dub Nation.
