Golden State Warriors must improve wings

Current Rotation: Andrew Wiggins, Kelly Oubre, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Damion Lee, Kent Bazemore

The Golden State Warriors arguably have their most depth at the wing position. They’ve added a ton of length over the last two seasons with Wiggins and Oubre serving as prototypical 3-and-D threats. Assuming they somehow retain Oubre in the summer, what’s next for this aspect of their rotation?

Homegrown options:

The Warriors are set up fairly nice at the wing already. The tandem of Oubre and Wiggins will provide insurance of depth, with Oubre likely becoming the sixth man and potential death-lineup finisher. Further consistency from both Oubre and Wiggins behind the 3-point line would be appreciated, however.

JTA and Lee can also crack routine minutes if they continue to polish their games. Nonetheless, I’d assume the Warriors look to boost their production here through other options.

Trades:

This is where the idea of trading any combination of the Warriors’ best assets becomes interesting. Will Paul George become available this offseason? What about Kawhi Leonard? Other intriguing players such as Marcus Smart, Jimmy Butler or even Tyler Herro could be available at the right price this summer. If the Warriors do pull the trigger on a James Wiseman trade, expect a wing to come in return.

Free Agency:

The free agency market will probably be saturated with wings, as well. The Warriors should be doing everything in their power to target Trevor Ariza, P.J. Tucker, Doug McDermott, Reggie Bullock and Jeff Green. Nearly all of these players can offer versatile skill sets and veteran leadership.
