Golden State Warriors player that’ll remain in rotation: Juan Toscano-Anderson

When Kevon Looney and James Wiseman combined for just a handful of games in February and the team was already without Marquese Chriss, they were begging for some type of big man to step up.

While Juan Toscano-Anderson may be big, he did step up in a big way. JTA transitioned into the starting role as the team played quite a bit of small ball in that near month-long stretch without a traditional big.

Standing just 6-foot-6, JTA plays with heart, and sometimes that shows up more than skill. Don’t worry though: he has skill too. Toscano-Anderson averaged 5.7 points per game in just 20.9 minutes per game.

He shot 58 percent from the field and over 40 percent from deep which was important considering Draymond Green‘s three-point shot has been slowly declining over the past few years. JTA was crucial in spacing the floor, oftentimes being paired with Curry and Green.

JTA is under contract for next season, so he’ll more than likely be back. I’d expect him to stay in the rotation, potentially beating out second-year forward Eric Paschall.
