Golden State Warriors player that’ll remain in rotation: Jordan Poole

This one is somewhat obvious, but Jordan Poole will be one of the key pieces for the Warriors bench next season. Towards the end of the season and especially in the play-in tournament, he showed his lofty upside as an elite scorer.

Over the team’s last 14 games, Poole averaged 15.4 points per game. While it still isn’t terrific, he shot 43.9 percent from the field over that stretch which, for Poole, is an improvement. He made 2.6 threes per game as well.

Those weren’t his season averages, but his numbers were just a bit lower on the year.

Overall, Poole’s second season in the NBA was a drastic improvement over a rough rookie year. The Warriors needed to find a backup point guard. Brad Wanamaker didn’t cut it. He was traded, and the keys to the bench were given to Poole.

As the team eventually moves into next season, that spot behind Curry could be Poole’s role to lose, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him permanently be the leader of the second unit after his stellar end to this past season.
