Warriors potential Kelly Oubre Jr. sign-and-trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers have two young studs in their backcourt. However, the combination may not always work with both in the starting unit.

Collin Sexton, in a few seasons, could be the NBA’s best sixth man if Darius Garland takes over the starting unit’s point guard spot. As for Kelly Oubre Jr., he could fit nicely as a long-term solution beside those two.

Oubre Jr. is just 25, so time is still on his side. The Cavaliers are young, and with Jarrett Allen and Sexton having been in the league a few seasons, the team is gaining experience. Oubre Jr. could be a leader for them.

Cleveland hasn’t made the city attractive for free agents since LeBron’s exodus. Oubre Jr., Garland, Isaac Okoro, and Allen would be a solid rebuild that could produce a playoff-caliber team in the East.

For the price of Osman, who is under contract for the next few seasons, and Windler, this could be a win-win situation as both parties get a piece they need to improve.
