Warriors potential Kelly Oubre Jr. sign-and-trade with the San Antonio Spurs

Here’s a trade that should get fans excited though.

Jakob Poeltl would present a solid rim-protecting option for the Warriors. His highly efficient game is something the team missed last season. They also need more frontcourt depth, and only 25, Poetlt would be a great fit.

The bigger key to this equation is Keldon Johnson. Johnson was one of several first-round picks from Kentucky in the 2019 NBA Draft. He played well his second season in the league, averaging 12.8 points per game shooting 47.9 percent.

DeMar DeRozan has been in the league for quite a while and may not be part of the San Antonio future. Oubre Jr. gives them a similar player that is better at shooting from deep and attacking the rim, although DeRozan is an underrated scorer.
