Warriors potential Kelly Oubre Jr. sign-and-trade with the New York Knicks

This is a deal that feels like a win-win scenario, and it’s one that both sides should certainly consider.

For starters, we have the Knicks who would be bringing in Oubre Jr. The 25-year-old has the perfect, gritty personality to be playing in from of the crowd at Madison Square Garden.

Given how the Knicks had a terrific defense but failed to find offense late in the season, bringing in Oubre Jr. would help fix their woes. Oubre Jr. averaged over 18 points per game with the Suns as the No. 2 option behind Devin Booker prior to joining the Warriors.

He would be great behind Julius Randle.

As for the Warriors, one area they struggled to get production was behind Andrew Wiggins. We’ve seen what a winning culture has done before, and it could deliver yet again with Kevin Knox. The former top-ten pick averaged a career-low 3.9 points per game.

His stock should be low while his salary is still relatively high. Add in a pick that should be late in the first round, and you have a trade I think both sides could find favorable.
