Golden State Warriors should trade Wiseman for: Al Horford

The final player on our list is Al Horford, and I think this one actually makes quite a bit of sense.

With forward Jalen Johnson potentially on the board when the Warriors draft, there’s more reason to strengthen their frontcourt than keep Wiseman around. To make the deal work financially, the Warriors would have to add Wiggins to the deal.

Horford originally signed a four-year, $109 million deal. He has two years left on the contract, and it’s one that Oklahoma City will not have an easy time getting off. However, Horford still has the potential to contribute at a high level, especially considering his defensive prowess.

Horford averaged 13.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists, so he can do a bit of everything offensively. On top of that, he notched a career-high 2.0 threes per game. Defensively, he’s collected .5 steals and a block per game in 10 of his 13 seasons.

At 35, he is getting older, but he should have another season or two in which he’s a capable defender and a savvy veteran, something the Warriors should target with in their frontcourt.
