Golden State Warriors should trade Wiseman for: Paul George

Paul George is still a superstar. It doesn’t matter which round of the NBA Playoffs the Los Angeles Clippers make it to. George averaged 23.3 points per game this season, the third-highest average of his career.

That said, if the Clippers continue to struggle after an early exit last season, George may want out.

The Dubs would have to trade for him, so Wiseman plus Andrew Wiggins and most likely several draft picks would have to be involved. After the Clippers got by the Mavericks in the first round, it may take an epic collapse, not just a loss to the Jazz.

George would be the perfect running mate for the Big 3. He can space the floor extremely well, hitting 3.2 threes per game and shooting over 40 percent from deep for a second consecutive season.

As with Kevin Durant when he was in the Bay Area, George would also be given free rein to take over when he’s hot.

The Warriors wouldn’t want to limit the forward. A terrific two-way star, George’s defense is also a huge factor that should make Golden State want to mortgage the future for him. He has to want out first, and before that, the Clippers need to be knocked out of the playoffs.
