Golden State Warriors trade target: Paul George

The Los Angeles Clippers have been looking better and better as the playoffs go on, and that could be the reason that PG13 stays in the star-studded city.

Both George and Kawhi Leonard may have had their future potentially changed had their first-round Game 7 gone differently. But, regardless, if the Clippers lose to the Jazz, the series is currently tied at 2 games apiece, changes could be made in the offseason.

The Clippers traded many first-round picks and pick swaps for George.  The 7-time All-Star and 5-time All-NBA forward averaged 23.3 points per game this season. He shot just under 47 percent from the field.

In the playoffs, he’s been a bit more efficient, shooting just 44.4 percent from the field. Given his athleticism, size, and scoring, George could give the Warriors that go-to playmaker that they had in Kevin Durant.

The team wouldn’t be quite as lethal as when they had KD, but they would still be title favorites if they were able to land the veteran forward this offseason. At the very least, it could smart to see what the price for him is if the Clippers lose in the second round.
