Golden State Warriors: 5 former Stephen Curry teammates to sign
Stephen Curry’s former teammate Warriors should sign: Kent Bazemore
To be fair, while Kent Bazemore is Stephen Curry’s teammate now, he’s also his former teammate. Bazemore kicked off his career with the Warriors back in the 2012-2013 season. He played for Golden State for a season and a half.
Since then, he’s bounced around the league and, after a successful stint with the Dubs, is looking somewhere for a long-term deal. That somewhere will hopefully be the Bay Area as he proved his worth late in the season.
After averaging double figures for four straight seasons, Bazemore missed the mark during his stint with Portland and Sacramento. He split time between the two franchises during the 2019-2020 season. Then, he signed with Golden State.
With Damion Lee and Kelly Oubre Jr. in the rotation, Bazemore was oftentimes out of the loop and getting no minutes. That changed when both of those two were out late in the season. Baze stepped up in a big way.
Starting 17 of the last 20 games, he averaged 10.6 points per game and shot 43 percent from deep. Wanting a long-term deal this time around, Bazemore should be able to get that and be a Warrior for a couple more seasons.
