The process in Philly may have just hit its breaking point. Numerous failed postseasons have the 76ers ready to blow it all up and the Golden State Warriors are one team who could step in to help.

With the benefit of the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery, the Dubs have all of the assets in the world to take a crack at trading for a star like Ben Simmons. Finishing top-three in Defensive Player of the Year voting, the 6’11” point guard can be an interesting pickup for Golden State.

The dynamic of clearing the paint and allowing a one-man wrecking crew like Simmons to run the show might be a successful one. However, there are more than enough reasons the Dubs should shy away from making this pipe dream a reality.

Ben Simmons might be available this summer but the Golden State Warriors have plenty of reasons to stay away.

For all of the potential excitement Simmons could bring to the Bay Area, there are various concerns that can’t be overlooked. Trading for Simmons is a bad idea and here are three reasons why.
