Golden State Warriors add depth with role players

For the last suggestion on our list, we are going to look at how the Golden State Warriors can potentially flip Kelly Oubre and their two picks for an influx of experience and depth. For this, the Utah Jazz become an ideal target.

Despite finishing with the best record in the NBA, the Jazz fell in the second round to LA. The harsh reality is they just aren’t there yet. But that’s fine! Donovan Mitchell is only 24 years old and there is plenty of time to build around him. However, adding talent is difficult when you don’t have cap space or any draft capital.

This is how the Warriors can help out. By completing a sign-and-trade for Oubre, the Jazz not only add a 3-and-D presence but gain two lottery picks to surround Mitchell with a growing core that can help him compete for the foreseeable future.

In exchange, the Dubs replace Oubre with another 3-and-D glue guy in Joe Ingles. His ability to pass the ball, drill 3-pointers and switch on the perimeter will make him an instant fit in Golden State. The same goes for Royce O’Neale, who finished with two votes for the All-Defensive team and shot close to 40 percent from the 3-point line.

This swap should make both teams happy in their pursuit of a championship. Golden State buffs their second unit while the Jazz get a care package of developing prospects.
